Trip to Eden Camp
Before the holidays Class 6 visited the Eden Camp History Museum as part of their World War Two topic. They had a busy day researching and learning about the World War Two Blitz, The rise of Hitler and much much more. The story of World War Two was re-created using sight, sound, smell and moving figures which created a fantastic atmosphere for the children to learn in.

Our Hot Air Balloon
Children In Need
We raised money by having a non uniform day and having our faces painted.
Science- reversible and irreversible changes
Yesterday and today we did poppy paintings. We used acrylic paints, because we used acrylic paints we only had to use a tiny bit. We watched a video on the Internet and we had to do our own painting that looked a bit like that. What you had to do was paint a little bit at the top of the paper (blue),after you have to get a dark green and paint 3 inch of the paper underneath the blue. After that paint the rest of the paper a lighter green. Once you've done that get dark and lighter greens and paint them on the picture. After we did that some people put poppies on the picture. Some people got round to putting daisies on. I LOVE ART (especially this kind of art!)
The Great Norbridge Gold Rush
Y6 learnt about the Great Australian Gold Rush and also how to pan for gold, so they decided to give it a try themselves and see what they could uncover!
Town Of Total Darkness Drama
Key Stage 2 watched a drama about a town in 2040 that is plunged into total darkness. A time traveller called upon the services of the world's most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, to find out who or what caused this chaos.
The children really enjoyed it and there was much laughter alongside learning a very important message.
Charity Fund Raising by Year 6
This week Year 6 baked different cakes and sold them to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
Outwood Valley Science Event
Class 6 took part in a mile long run around our school field to raise money for Sport Relief. We ran, jumped, skipped and even did the conga!
