WB 09.03.20 - This week, we wrote our letters to Atrix. We imagined that we were Arthur, on a journey to Thor's Hall, and we described the horrors we faced along the way. We focused on the structure of our letter and aimed to include relative clauses, use parenthesis and write detailed descriptions.
WB 02.03.20 - In our English lessons, we have discussed the features of a letter and identified these in examples. Next week, we will be writing our own letters from the perspective of Arthur, a character from our focus text: 'Arthur and the Golden Rope'.
WB 24.02.20 - This week, we were introduced to our new focus text: 'Arthur and the Golden Rope'. After reading the story together, we acted out our favourite parts. WB 10.02.20 - We began the week by identifying the features of instructions to help support our writing. Then, we wrote a set of instructions to explain to others how to make an Automata Animal, which we created during our DT Day. WB 03.02.20 - This week, we have followed the plan, draft, edit, write sequence to write our own Viking stories inspired by 'The Saga of Biorn. WB 27.01.20 - We continued to explore The Saga of Biorn in our English lessons this week. We practised using inverted commas to write dialogue and imagined what the characters would have said in the different scenes. We also worked together to create some short sketches, retelling the story with an alternative ending.
