This week and next week we are planning, writing and making our own wildlife documentaries based on the school site. This week we have looked closely at the commentary and visuals of a David Attenborough documentary, as well as planning our own doecumentary in groups. We did this by making storyboards and scripts and we will use them to make our documentaries next werk.

London Free Verse Poetry
Using film footage from London, we were able to use poetic devices to create our own free-verse poems. Read some of them below.
The Arrival - Diary Entry
Over a period of 2 weeks, we have studied pictures and pages from a book called The Arrival. We have inferred feelings, moods and intentions using this to help us make predictions. From our learning, we worked hard to create a diary entry from the point of view of a man in the book.

In our English lessons this week we have dissected poems highlighting and labelling key features that we recognise. We created word banks of different devices we could use by taking leaves from the playground to help us use our senses. Once we had all of this, we used it to help us create our own free verse poems.
