Tuesday 16th March 2021 –WALT: Recognise how language in a text changes to suit the purpose.

Wednesday 17th March 2021-WALT: Order appropriate information for a non-chronological report.
Cut and stick the facts under the appropriate subheading.
Thursday 18th March 2021 –WALT: Write to entertain.
I would like you to write an entertaining introduction to our ancient Egyptian diet fact file. In the style of our focus text, we are going to compare the gross things that Ancient Egyptians ate to some gross modern-day food. Using the example, write a similar introduction paragraph but change the foods and adjectives to make them sound gross/yummy.
Friday 19th March - WALT: Use humour to engage an audience.
Reword the facts from the diet fact grid to include funny opinions.
E.g.
Ancient Egyptians, including children, used to drink beer to wash down their dinner with. That right! KIDS got to drink BEER! Cool right?!
Peasants would have probably eaten a simple breakfast of bread, onions and garlic! EWW! I bet they had stinky breath!
