24.1.22 - Computing

 

In our lesson this week, we used Hour of Code to practise different coding techniques and write algorithms for different games.

17.1.22 - Art

 

This week, we used coloured crayons and oil pastels to draw flowers Take a look at some of our bright and colourful creations.

17.1.22 - History

 

In our lesson this week, we discussed our enquiry question for this half term: Should animals be involved in conflict? We learnt about the different roles animals played in WWI and then we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using horses.

10.1.22 - PSHE

 

In PSHE this week, we learnt about water safety. We watched a video about a group of children playing near the lake & discussed the consequences of not acknowledging the danger signs. We then wrote newspaper articles to report on the event.

10.1.22 - Computing

 

In our lesson on Monday afternoon, we started to learn about coding. We wrote algorithms for the sandwich bot (Miss Jackson) to follow. After a few bugs, we managed to make a jam sandwich using clear and concise coding!

3.1.22 - Art

 

In our lesson this week, we used charcoal to sketch pictures of soldiers in No Man's Land.

3.1.22 - History

 

In our history lesson this week, we started our new learning about the Great War. We noticed that Europe in 1914 was very different to how it is today. We used a key on a map to identify the Central Powers and the Triple Entente before discussing the main reason for the start of WWI.
