21.6.21 - SMSC
This week, we have been working in the school garden by weeding, digging and cleaning. We are going to be planting lots of different vegetables to grow, which will then be available to our school community.

This week in Geography, we used an atlas to identify the UK’s trade links with other countries.
WB 14.6.21 - Music
This week, we worked with Mr Bellingham to record songs for our performance of The Jungle Book. We worked really hard and tried our best with our singing. We are really looking forward to sharing our performance with parents and carers.

WB 24.5.21 - Swimming
This week, we took part in a sponsored swim. Some of us managed to swim over 800m and we raised £120 for Year 6 events.

In recognition of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we wrote some positive affirmations and displayed them around our classroom door.
WB 10.5.21 - History
This week, we have been learning about the events of the Spanish Armada. We listened to a radio clip of a young boy who remembers fighting in this battle. We contrasted this recount to Queen Elizabeth’s motivational speech to her army, before placing the key events of the Spanish Armada on a timeline.
WB 3.5.21 - Art
In art, we have used various sculpting techniques to create a pinch pot using clay. We then created some amazing South American designs on our pots, based on the work of artist, Frida Kahlo. Take a look at our brilliant designs:




WB 3.5.21 - Science
As part of our science lesson this week, we learnt about the adaptation of animals. We used different equipment as birds' beaks to pick up sweets and then record our findings. Take a look below:




WB 26.4.21 - History
In our history lesson this week, we began to explore why Queen Elizabeth I visited Kenilworth. We worked in small groups to research some key facts about this significant event before presenting our information to the class.
