Foundation Subjects
WB 19.04.2021
RE - We have begun to think about creation. We have thought about our own views and beliefs about how our world was created. We wondered if it had been made by a person or if it had been made by builders and scientists?
Music - This week we have been reminded of our finger placement when playing the recorders. So far we are able to play A, B and G notes.
Science - We have begun to think about scientists and their experiments. We have discussed experiments that we know and determined how to create a fair test.

RE - This week we have been thinking about the Christian creation story. We listened to and understood what Christians believe happened on each of the 7 days when God created the world.
Geography - This week we have identified and discussed the rivers and seas around the world. We have thought about the rivers Thames and Nile and made comparisons.
Computing - This week we have continued our learning about algorithms. We have thought about precise instructions and why these are important when programming toys.

Art - This week we have continued to think about the artist Kandinsky. We have thought about his work and begun to create examples.
Computing - This week we have practised giving simple instructions to friends. We programmed them to move around the room in silly places.

RE - This week we have continued to think about creation. We have compared and discussed creation stories and thought about how they differ.
Computing - We have continued to think about programming toys. We have used Bee-Bots to create simple algorithms and practise creating a sequence of instructions.
Music - We have thought about beats. We have used our knowledge of keeping a beat to join in when creating pieces of music.
Art - We have continued to create art inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. This week we began to use oil pastels to create our own pieces of art.
