Homework is updated every Friday.
This week in English, we have been practising using fronted adverbials to help to vary our sentence openers. For your homework, I would like you to choose 5 fronted adverbials from the word mat attached below and write 5 main clauses to go with each fronted adverbial.
Adverbials add extra information about the main clause.
They can tell the reader how, when, where or how often something happens.
Where - Deep in the spooky forest, the owl hooted loudly.
When - Early on Monday morning, I dragged myself out of bed to get ready for school.
How - Gracefully, the princess twirled around the dance floor.
Don't forget to separate your fronted adverbial from your main clause using a comma!
Please post your writing on the class blog by Friday 19th March

Play on Times Table Rock Stars at least 3 times a week. The APP is free on the App Store. At the moment we are practising our 2s, 5s and 10s. Times Table Rock Stars is set to Automatic Training Mode. This means the app will decide when your child is ready to move on to learning new times tables. This is usually once they can do the inverse operation (divide) as well as multiply.
