Homework is updated every Friday.
As this is the first weekend that we are able to go places due to the Covid -19 restrictions being relaxed, I would love to hear all about the fun activities you get up to. Maybe you went to visit family or friends, maybe you took a trip to the coast, or maybe you went to watch a film at the cinema.
For your homework task, I would like you to write a diary entry about what you got up to this weekend.
Your diary entry should include;
Events written in chronological order (the order that they happened)
E.g. I, we, they, he, she
Expanded noun phrases to describe the events in detail.
E.g. warm, tasty popcorn
cold, windy beach
Fronted adverbials to help order events.
E.g. Early in the morning, ...
After my tasty lunch, ...
Please post your diary entry on the class blog by Friday 28th May.
This weeks spelling patterns are word families based on root words 'scope' and 'spect'
Please practice these spellings ready for our spelling test on Friday 28th May:
Maths - Telling the Time
This week in maths, we have been practicing telling the time on an analogue clock to the nearest 5 minutes.
Here is a great game to help you practise:
Read at least 3 times a week on Bug Club. You can answer questions to improve your understanding.
Don't forget to record what you have read each week by filling out our new digital reading record. Follow the link on your Marvelous Me app and fill in the form.
Use these songs to help you learn the multiples of 3,4 & 8
3 x table:
4 x table
8 x times table
Play on Times Table Rock Stars at least 3 times a week. The APP is free on the App Store. At the moment we are practising our 2s, 5s and 10s. Times Table Rock Stars is set to Automatic Training Mode. This means the app will decide when your child is ready to move on to learning new times tables. This is usually once they can do the inverse operation (divide) as well as multiply.
