Maths Lessons
WB 21.6.21 - Maths
This week, we completed our unit on properties of shapes. We learnt how to calculate angles in polygons and looked at nets of 3D shapes.
WB 14.6.21 - Maths
In our maths lesson this week, we calculated the sum of angles in quadrilaterals and regular polygons. Take a look at the poster to remind yourself how to do this:
WB 7.6.21 - Maths
This week, we have rehearsing for our performance of The Jungle Book. Look out for information about how we will perform our show soon...
WB 24.5.21 - Maths
In our maths lessons this week, we have been learning more about angles and we have worked hard to calculate angles in a triangle, using our understanding of angles around a point and angles on a straight line.
WB 17.5.21 - Maths
In our maths lessons this week, we have been measuring and drawing angles, as well as calculating the total number of degrees on a straight line and around a point.
WB 10.5.21 - Maths
This week, we have been learning how to interpret and draw pie charts using protractors. We also learnt how to calculate the mean average and we used jelly beans to help us learn how to calculate the mean average of a set of numbers.
WB 3.5.21 - Maths
At the beginning of this week, we practised reading and interpreting line graphs, before drawing our own. We then looked at the properties of circles before learning how to read and interpret pie charts.
WB 26.4.21 - Maths
This week, we have continued our work on ratio; applying our understanding to solve word problems. As well as this, we learnt about scale factors and enlarged quadrilaterals and triangles using scale factors.
WB 19.4.21 - Maths
This week, we started our new unit of work on ratio. To help us understand what ratio is, and how to represent ratios, we used counters and participated in a practical maths lesson. Take a look at some pictures from the lesson below:
