Bring a Pet to Teams Day - Join us live on Microsoft Teams at 9am and bring along your pets. What can you tell us about your pet?
- What is their name?
- How old are they?
- What are their favourite things to do?
If you don't have a pet, can you think about what pet you would have and why? Can you think of some ways to persuade your parents to buy you a pet?

Friday 16th July
Leavers' Film - Listen to Tones and I - Fly Away and practise the dance we taught you in class. Then, record yourself dancing to this song for part of the Leavers' Film and upload onto Microsoft Teams.
Leavers' Film - Learn the Just Dance dances for the following songs:
- Waka Waka
Then, film yourself dancing to these songs, using the actions you have learnt and upload your video onto Microsoft Teams.
Virtual Treasure Hunt - Use the activity sheets to go on a treasure hunt around your home. How many items can you find?
Monday 19th July
Leavers' Film - Read through the Leavers' script. Then, work in groups on Teams to write a short script for your Norbridge Memories stories. Once you have written your lines, learn them and record yourself saying them. Then, upload the video onto Microsoft Teams
Drawsize - Join us on Teams at 11:15 to play some virtual games together.
Letter Writing - Can you write a letter to the future Year 6s? Think about the following:
- What is it like to be in Year 6
- What responsibilities do you have when you move into Year 6?
- What topics do we learn about in Year 6?
- What is DARE and what do you learn in DARE?

Wednesday 21st July
History Day: The Mayans - Today we will be learning about The Mayans and completing some different activities linked to this.
Read through the PowerPoint Slides to learn about the different Maya gods. Think about what the Ancient Maya believed, their rituals and sacrifices and some of their different gods. Then, create your own Maya God using the activity sheet.
Read through the PowerPoint to learn about different types of Mayan art.
Then, try and replicate your own example of a Fresco (an ancient wall painting).
Use the PowerPoint slides to learn about the Mayan number system. Then, identify the numbers on the activity sheet, using the poster to help you.
Read through the PowerPoint to learn about traditional Maya foods. Then, complete the activity sheet by researching different, traditional Maya foods.
Finally, can you follow the recipe to make a Maya hot chocolate?

Geography Day: Mexico - Today we will be learning about Mexico and completing some different activities linked to this.
Create a fact file about Mexico by researching the following areas:
- Landmarks and Attractions
- Mexican People and Languages
- Mexican Animals
- Mexican Food
Use the fact cards to help you. You might want to use the fact file template to help you, or you might want to post your work on the class blog.
Read the PowerPoint about the Mexican celebration, The Day of the Dead. Then, use your symmetry knowledge to complete the other half of the sugar skull masks.
Read the facts about Mexico on the PowerPoint. Then, answer the quiz questions on the activity sheet.
Look at the different pages in the booklet. Research people and places of Mexico and compare them to people and places in England.
