Our Class Focus Text
This term's enquiry questions are;
When does technology cross the line?
Could we ever live on the Moon?
English
In Spring term we will be writing a newspaper report about the moon landing, writing and taking part in a balanced argument, writing a diary entry, and crating a fantasy story based on our class text 'Alex Rider Storm Breaker'.
Maths
Our focus on Maths this term is multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages.
Science
In Science we will be describing the movement of the Earth and other planets in relation to the sun, describing the Earth, describing the Sun, Understand how the Earth's rotation leads to day and night, understanding the properties and changes of materials.
History
In History we will be learning to understand the historical events of space travel including the first moon landing.
Geography
In Geography we will be learning to understand the physical geography in relation to rivers, mountains, volcanoes, and earthquakes. We will also be learning map reading skills.
PSHE
Mental Health Week, Safer Internet Day, recognise an unhealthy relationship, know how to describe the range and intensity of feelings to others, understand how to manage complex and conflicting emotions, identify the changes that happen in puberty, understand the human reproduction in the context of the human lifestyle.
Religious Education
In R.E. this term our focus Religions are Islam (impact of religion, daily prayer, place of worship) and Hinduism (religion, family and commitment).
Art
Our focus artists for this term are, Space themed art by Peter Thorpe and looking at Harold Cohen's digital art.
Music
In Music we will continue to develop Masters of Music, skills on different instruments, play melodies on a variety of instruments.
Computing
In Computing we are learning how to program/code, understand how computer networks can provide multiple services, appreciate how search results are formed.
French
In French we are learning to order drinks, ordering snacks, use language for real purposes, numbers 1-60, greetings, and some typical French foods.
PE
In P.E. we will be keeping fit at home, developing skills in tennis such as; rally, position, serving, volleying, backhand, forehand, umpiring.
