Things to Know

French - Tuesday

Children will have a weekly French lesson with Madame Walsh.

 

Venture Experts - Tuesday

Children will particpate in an activity of their choice every Tuesday afternoon.

 

Music - Thursday (am)

Children will have a weekly music lesson with Mr Bellingham

 

Swimming - Thursday (pm)

Children will be taking part in a swimming session on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure you child has a swimming kit in school for this session. The kit should include a swimming costume or fitted swimming shorts, a towel and goggles (where consent has been given.)

 

PE - Friday (am)

Children will have a weekly P.E session with Mr Scott on a Friday morning. Please ensure your child has sensible clothing and footwear in school for this session.

 

Karate - Friday (am)

Children will have a weekly Karate session with Sensei Slaney on a Friday morning.

 

Art - Friday (am)

Children will have a weekly art session with Mr Slaney on a Friday morning.

 

Social Media: On the notes of your child's reading diary, you will find the login detail for the class blog.

 

Reading Diary / Reading Books: Your child will have a reading diary and a library book. Please ensure your child brings their reading book and diary to school every day. Children will have the opportunity to change their library book each week and diaries will be signed each week too. Don't forget to record any reading that your child does at home as this will help them to earn stickers on our reading chart so that they can be rewarded at the end of the term.

 

Water Bottles: Please bring fresh drinking water every day.

 

Homework: Homework will be sent home each week. There will be a list of spellings sent home each week, along with an activity linked to our topic. Children will also have access to a range of books and activities on Bug Club and can practise their times tables on the TimesTables Rockstars app. Children will be tested on their spellings and times tables each week.
