Trips & Events
To celebrate Halloween, the whole of Norbridge Academy have taken part in a spooky dress up day. Here are Kingfishers in their best Halloween outfits.
Our first trip of the year was visiting our local museum where the Wampanoag Tribe taught us about their way of life. First, we listened carefully and researched information about the Pilgrims and Mayflower in the Pilgrim's Gallery, before moving on to meet members of the Wampanoag Tribe. We learnt about their traditions, history and their modern way of living as well as watching members of the Tribe build a traditional Wetu. Then, we got the chance to replicate a style of jewellery traditionally worn by members of the tribe. We used purple and white beads which are traditionally hand-carved out of clam shells; the colours and patterns deliver a message to others.
