Week 1: 11th September
Here are some activities you can try at home which focus upon some of the learning that has taken place in Year Two this week.
You do not need to do every activity but anything you do try we would love to see photos of on our class twitter page.
SPAG: Grammar:
This week we have been writing super sentences.
We are making sure that our sentences have capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
Can you find your favourite book and write about one of the characters or even go outside to find something to write about?
How about trying to make your sentences even better by using and or because......
Common Exception Words:
Can you revisit your year one common exception words?
Have a go at reading, spelling and writing sentences with these words.
Maths:
Can you show your grown ups at home what number you can write to?
Can you write your numbers to 20?
How about to 50?
This week we have been partitioning numbers. Can you write a number and then tell your grown how many tens and ones it has?
