Autumn 1 Week 2 Homework
In English, we have been adding descriptions to our writing. Can you add describing words to this sentence?
Once upon a time, a girl lived in a cottage in the middle of the woods.
In science this week, we have learned about how to recognise if something is alive, dead or never been alive.
For your homework this week, it would be great if you could create a poster showing all the objects you can find from your local area of things that are alive, dead or never alive.
You could also include information about the characteristics of living things.
Remember we used MRS GREN to help us.
This half term our Geography topic is Deserts vs Forests.
We have used maps of the world to identify the location of significant Forests and Deserts.
We have identified The Arabian Desert and Sherwood Forest as our focus locations for this half term and will use these when comparing climates, formations and habitats.
Can you find 3 facts for each location?
What is the climate?
What is the weather like?
How much rainfall do they have?
What animals have their habitats in these locations?
What other interesting information can you amaze us with?
