Week 3

Homework will be posted on the class webpage each week.

You do not need to complete every activity but we would love for you to share anything you do try.

You could post pictures on Twitter, or share your learning on the class blog.

Children will also have access to a range of books and activities on Bug Club and they can practice their times tables on the TimesTables Rockstars app.

Reading: We encourage your child to read at least three times a week at home. You can access books on Bug Club and answer questions to improve your understanding:

Math:

This week in Math we have counted object to 100. We have read and written numbers in numerals and words.

Can you complete these various problems to support our learning?

English

This week we have developed our narrative writing.

We used the story of Little Red Riding Hood to think about narrative sequences and character descriptions. We have worked hard to ensure we use features of fantastic writing and have checked our punctuation, spelling and have reviewed and edited our work.

Can you use this image and story starter to continue to develop your narrative skills?

In the deepest, darkest depths of the forest, Mr. Wolf waited.

His disguise hadn't worked, but that didn't concern him.

Now, the boy thought he was safe. Mr. Wold didn't think he was.

Mr Wold knew exactly where he was. He could sense him. He could smell him. He could almost taste him ...

RE

In RE this week we have discussed Harvest.

We talked about what Harvest was and discussed why it is important to Christians.

Can you think about everything you have and what you have to be thankful for?

Draw a picture of something you are thankful for and write a sentence / description about it.
