Underneath are a range of help mats you can use to make sure your writing is varied and interesting. 
Try using:

  • subordinating conjunctions to extend your sentences.
  • expanded noun phrases which expand after the noun using a preposition (the terrifying, fierce lion with a golden fiery mane....)
  • fronted adverbials followed by a comma e.g. Suddenly, the lion roared.
