We are learning to play and sing Songbird in music
In English we have been using a variety of information sources (iPads, books and printed texts) to research Ancient Egypt in preparation for writing our own non-chronological reports.

Celebrating excellent attendance
Our autumn term trip was to see the pantomime Cinderella at The Lyceum theatre in Sheffield. We were lucky enough to have backstage tours of both The Crucible and the Lyceum as well as taking part in a drama workshop and getting to see lots of behind the scenes. Finally, after eating our lunches we climbed up to our seats in the balcony to watch the show!

This half term we are learning about Europe.
We will be finding out how to locate Europe on a world map, looking at biomes around Europe and learning about what is similar and different about our continent in comparison with others.

Lots of children in Cuckoo Class stayed late after school to take part in Italian Blogging. We worked in pairs to make pizzas, drew our own Sistine Chapel ceilings under tables and even learnt a few Italian words and phrases!
