Weston Park Museum Trip - Year 3

Year 3 visited Weston Park Museum in Sheffield as part of their Egyptian Topic. Whilst there, they had the opportunity to explore the museum and its artefacts. Not only did they discover new facts about how the Egyptians lived they also learnt about the history of Sheffield, the natural world and enjoyed dressing up in clothes from the past. There was even a woolly rhino wearing a face mask which the children found very entertaining! After lunch, the children took part in a fantastic workshop where they learnt how to mummify a body and made their own shabtis (mummified statues) before travelling back to school.!
