Welcome to Heron Class!
We are a Foundation 2 class of 29 eager Herons. We are always ready to learn
and excited to come to school!
We will be sharing pictures, information and videos of our learning journey
and will be posting key information for our class.
Have a look at our pages below for more information on Heron Class and to follow
our learning journey. :)
Keep checking back for more!
Our learning - Spring Term 2019
This term, our learning will be focused around our topic - 'Down On the Farm'.
We have lots going on in school to bring this topic to life for our children in Heron class, such as; a tractor visit and hatching our own chicks. There will be a new Dadly challenge to take part in, parent workshops and a blogging event for our families to take part in.
World Book Day!
For World Book Day, all of the Foundation children have taken part in a carrousel of reading activities focussed around a particular book.
Well done to all of our children who designed and created their own World Book Day T-shirt, they were all fantastic entries!
Here is Heron Class' winner voted by the Herons themselves...

Norbridge Rocks Radio - Valentines Disco
In Heron class, we have been preparing tasty Rice Krispie, marshmallow and chocolate treats to sell at the Valentines disco - in the shape of a love heart!
Congratulations
Well done to the winner of our Dadly Wheelbarrow challenge who managed to get around the obstacle course in a record time.
Men Behaving Dadly - Wheelbarrow challenge
We have been so impressed with the number and standard of the wheelbarrow entries that we received this morning. The children had to navigate an obstacle course with their wheelbarrow which was filed with hay to feed the animals at the end. Well done to all the families that took part.

Marvellous Mathematics
We are holding a Marvellous Maths Workshop for parents to come along to on Wednesday 16th January, 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm.
At the workshop we will discuss how mathematics is taught in the foundation stage and provide possible ways that mathematical learning can be promoted at home.
