Read through the Non-Chronological Report Sentence Openers Word Mat, think about how you could use them to structure your writing based on your research from Friday’s lesson.

Can you write some sentences for your fact file about hamsters by using the research, sentence openers and include subordinating conjunctions and clauses?

Read through the PowerPoint ‘Find a rule (one-step)’.

Complete the worksheets, answering questions 1-4.

Read through the PowerPoint about ‘Parenthesis for clarity’ and complete one of the differentiated worksheets.

Reading

Read through chapters 1 and 2 of the text – Time Travelling with a Hamster. 

Thinking about: What device is plugged into the laptop? Why might it be in a metal tub? Who is writing in 1st person?

History

Today you will begin learning about a new History topic ‘Through the Decades’.  You will be learning about leisure and entertainment throughout the decades, 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s.
