Enquiry question: Do all fridge magnets have the same strength?
Can test the strength of the magnets on your fridge?
All you need is:
- 2 or more fridge magnets. (The more the better)
- Sheets of paper.
Using one magnet at a time, test how many sheets of paper they can hold on your fridge before falling off.
You might record and present your results by:
- Tallying the number of sheets each magnet can hold in a table.
- Ordering the magnets from 'holds the least sheets of paper' to 'holds the most sheets of paper.'
- Showing your results on a bar chart.
I would love to hear about your results! Did you notice any patterns? E.g. Do larger magnets hold a greater number of sheets?
Look at the resources for more guidance on how you could present your results and take your enquires further!
