Spring Term 2 - Week 2

English:

This week children have begun to think deeper about poetry and poetry features. They have built upon their knowledge of rhyming words and used their imagination to help create a selection of acrostic poems. 

Maths:

We have continued to think about measuring and have begun to use non standard and standard units of measure. Children first began to explore the concept of measuring, using cubes and moved on to using a ruler and the standard unit of cm. 

Science:

This week children have thought more about our new topic plants. They have looked at a selection of Spring plants and taken part in a plant hunt within our outdoor areas. 

Computing:

Children have begun to explore laptops independently and used skills such as manoeuvring using a track pad.
