21.3.22 - Pie Charts and Angles
This week, we learnt how to draw a pie chart using a protractor. We also measured angles on a straight line and angles around a point. Finally, we recognised vertically-opposite angles and measured angles in a triangle.
14.3.22 - Ratio and Scale Factors
In our maths lessons this week, we have been learning how to use the ratio symbol and solve ratio and proportion problems. We also learnt how to use scale factors and practised enlarging and reducing the size of shapes.
7.3.22 - Volume and Ratio
This week, we learnt the formula for calculating the volume of cubes and cuboids. We also began to familiarise ourselves with ratio language and understand how to wrtie a ratio as a fraction.
28.2.22 - Area

In maths this week, we learnt how to divide decimals by whole numbers, before learning how to convert between fractions and decimals. Take a look at how to do this below:
10.1.22 - Multiplying and Dividing Decimals
This week, we have been learning how to recognise decimals with two and three decimal places. We then practised multiplying and dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000. At the end of the week, we practised multiplying decimals by whole numbers using the short written method.
3.1.22 - Plotting Coordinates, Translating and Reflecting Shapes.
This week, we started our new unit of work on position and direction. We learnt how to plot coordinates in the four quadrants, before learning how to translate and reflect shapes.
