Week 6
Happy Half Term
You have worked so hard in your first half term back at school.
We want you to relax, stay safe and enjoy spending time with your family.
Autumn is such a lovely time of year. We would love to see pictures of you collecting conkers and being inspired by the great outdoors. Maybe you could write a poem about the colourful leaves or create a wonderful autumn inspired collage.
If you do however find yourself missing school work here are some activities ideas that will allow you to practise the skills you have learnt this half term or begin to think about our learning next half term...
English
This week we have created our own non chronological reports about Hedgehogs.
Can you choose something you are interested in to create a non chronological report?
Remember to use a snappy heading and sub-headings to organise your page.
Can you use sentence openers and generalisers in your non chronological report?
History
Next half term our question will be:
Do children have more fun today?
- Ask the adults in your house what they did as a child and compare to what you do today.
- Use a timeline to research childhoods in the past.
You can share what you find out on our Twitter page, class blog or save it to share when we return to school.
Science
This half term our science topic has been 'Living Things and Their Habitats'. To revise our learning, have a go at some of the questions on the worksheet.
Art and Design
As it is Halloween over half term, have a go at printing some of these spooky art activities to complete at home.
Reading:
